The Moon

Imagination and Shadow

Light

The Moon represents the world of the unconscious, imagination, fears, and dreams that live beneath the surface. It shines with partial light — enough to see, but not enough to understand everything. When The Moon appears, it invites us to dive beneath the surface and confront what hides there. It teaches that our fears are not enemies — they are messengers trying to teach us something important about ourselves.

Shadow

When The Moon appears in shadow, it invites you to examine your relationship with fear and confusion. Are you avoiding the dark places in your psyche? Or are you so immersed in them that you lose touch with reality? The Moon's shadow also explores self-deception — stories we tell ourselves to avoid the truth. The invitation is to walk through the darkness without fleeing and without drowning — to hear what the night wants to teach.
